Green lush magic trees, ponds, secret stone seats atop of this mountain. Meander along the different graded trails graded from easy to hard.

who needs online workouts? just come use this stair climber! This is awesome! The family took what was desert style cliffs and made their own garden of Eden. you really have to experience it to understand. the views are exceptional. the details, the water ponds, the stones that were hand laid to form over a mile of trails... truly inspirational!
Plan on at least 1-2 hours. if you want bring a book and find one of many spots to sit and read. this is like a sanctuary, with majestic views and tranquil settings.

During our family vacation to Lake Chelan, my husband just happened on Ohme Gardens as a nearby visit. It is about an hour away from Chelan, WA (depending where you're coming from) and 2.5 hours from Seattle. It is breathtakingly stunning where you'll see ponds, waterfalls, koi fish, several flowers/vegetation, pine trees and more. I absolutely LOVE those attractions where everywhere you turn offers a unique a beautiful view.

It costs $7 for adults and even cheaper for children making it budget-friendly and entirely worth it. I was shocked to see many "unimpressed views" which I found interesting. I'm from Chicago and live in Arizona, so definitely gives an impressive view that I'm used to seeing BUT I have been to several different gardens, botanical gardens, etc in different parts of the world and still felt this was impressive - it was built as the Ohme's backyard and was never meant to be a tourist attraction, so I'm not sure if the negative reviews were factoring that in. Also neat fact that the stone pathways were brought in and laid down by hand! We went in June 2022 and it was not crowded at all.

BE PREPARED: Good shoes for tricky footing/steps, umbrella and/or raincoat (Washington weather was tough to predict), I would grab the walking sticks they offer if you occasionally need them, and be sure you dress for a hike! Also, any items you'd like to relax with: good book, headphones, etc

TIME: I would budget 1-2 hours here with two main factors involved: mobility level of you and your group and how much you and your group stops to take photos or enjoy the view. There are SEVERAL spots to sit throughout the garden, had I known I honestly would have budgeted time to bring my book and just sit here for a little bit

MOBILITY LEVEL: This DEFINITELY has tricky footing. We knew nothing about Ohme Gardens when we got there, but it's built into the side of the hill so the pathways are steps (sometimes semi-steep with no railings), uphill/downhill and some paths can be pretty narrow. There are railings in certain areas, but not everywhere. If you cannot go that far there are some spots that can still be an easier walk that would still offer fantastic views, so I would ask at the front or have someone in your group run ahead and see what is negotiable.

BATHROOMS: There are fully functional bathrooms right behind the admissions/gift shop area. These are your only bathrooms throughout the entire gardens, so plan accordingly :-)

KID-FRIENDLY: We saw several families with kids here and it looked like the kids were interacting with the map to find their way around the gardens which was great! Just keep in mind there are some areas where it's an easy misstep into a pond or down the hill, but overall, it's safe to bring kids

GIFT SHOP: It's small but they have unique items! Definitely stop in here. They also had some bottled drinks for sale and a coffee dispenser inside.

NEARBY: We enjoyed going to Pybus Public Market for lunch (there are several options) walking around their cute shops (olive oil shop, gelato, sandwiches, pizza, Mexican food and more). Leavenworth is about 30 minutes away and their Reindeer Farm and seeing this cute Bavarian town is a MUST do!

This place is a beautiful oasis. Love the background love story of the couple who made this place. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Went in October and they are doing a special "find the skill" hunt activity throughout the garden for a prize. To me this garden looks like a hobbit area with the stone steps all throughout (it's gorgeous). The flowers throughout were so pretty and well maintained. There are 4 man-made waterfalls, over a mile of steps that go through the garden, and over 50 benches throughout. I recommend packing a picnic and enjoying the beauty. I sat for a while and watched the blue jays with the views of the mountains right behind; gorgeous!

Really neat place to check out. We never knew a place like this existed in Whenatchee. It's a nice place to bring a picnic and just relax. Plenty of areas of shade to hide from the sun. Plenty of extra parking near where you enter. Would be a little better if the gift shop had more items to snack on for those who don't bring anything with them.

What a cute place . Inexpensive admission price. Good story behind it. They were setting up for a wedding and I can see it as a really nice place for a small wedding . Do the scavenger hunt ! Wear good walking shoes as it's very uneven and lots of up and down .

Highly recommend taking the family and enjoy this garden over looking the laid back Wenatchee City and Columbia River. Very detailed well maintained garden with a variety of flowers, trees and landscape designs is very relaxing and calming. Garden paths are easy to navigate providing plenty of places of prospect and refuge that is very restorative to your mental health. Breathe taking views and very friendly trails to enjoy with the family. A must garden if in Wenatchee!

Ohme Gardens is a gorgeous place! Apparently coming here in the spring is the best time because there are lots of flowers here to see along the paths. We went here in August. Although no flowers were here the gardens were still gorgeous! We got a great view of Wenatchee despite some smoke from wild fires in the mountains. There are lots of different paths all over of varying grade. The gardens are kind of on the side of a big hill so much of the paths require going uphill. They have useful maps for you to get an idea as to which paths are easier and which paths are steeper. They have walking sticks at the front of the entrance if you feel like that you need one.
There are several pools that are very beautiful here as you meander on the paths. Also there is a wishing well which is a lot of fun.
Lots of couples come here to get wedding pictures taken and apparently actual weddings are held here as well since when we were here there were two going on here. The folks are super nice and accommodating with balancing these special events and letting the general public come in to sight see. The rates are very reasonable, only $8. Definitely a place to go see if you are visiting Wenatchee!

Best for the agile with good walking shoes who are not afraid of heights. A spectacular garden demonstrating the power of water in developing lush greenery and mature trees. Walks are uneven, very steep in parts with sheer cliffs. Spectacular views of the surrounding areas, marred a bit by traffic noise from the highways below.
