Description
Built for the 1962 World's Fair, the artistic mural was created by renowned artist Paul Horiuchi. Originally the mural was placed over a pool of water (now the stage) and surrounded by temporary structures, including the IBM building. Today, the Mural Amphitheatre is used for public programming and festivals, such as Northwest Folklife Festival, Bumbershoot, and the Seattle Center outdoor film and concert series.
