Forest Learning Center

The Forest Learning Center is open to the public and has free admission! It is full of amenities and exhibits for adults and children that?tell the story of Mount St. Helens and its forests through interactive exhibits, hands-on activities and exciting visual displays. During your visit you can: walk through a life-like forest, experience the eruption chamber, take a virtual helicopter tour, learn about forest recovery, see spectacular views, hike a short trail and spot wildlife, have fun on the volcano slide, enjoy your picnic lunch at our outdoor tables, and shop for a souvenir at the gift store.

The Forest Learning Center is open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm seven days a week seasonally. The gift shop and restrooms open in late March and close November 1st, contingent on weather conditions. The free exhibits are open mid-May through mid-September.
