Be prepared to wait a long time if you come in the afternoon. Having said that, the ice cream is good and worth waiting for, especially if you need something to cool down after hiking around. Seating is a bit tough so just keep an eye out for an empty table when you are in line. Not sure I would try the dessert in the shorter line where you get coffee as most people waited for the ice cream.

Lots of delicious candies that are actually made here. We had a macadamia & pecan turtle, chocolate was yummy and caramel had a nice consistency-- not too hard or chewy. Also had the caramel and a chocolate macaron. We would buy from again.

I had the raspberry and the boss had the salted caramel. Sheri's sells homemade and store bought ice cream. Of course we bought the homemade, otherwise we would have just gone to a store to buy store bought.
As you can see, the single scoop in a waffle cone is as big as my head. The ice cream was good. Lots of flavor and quite filling (no kidding it was the size of my head).
The line was long but it didn't take that long to get my ice cream
Overall a good place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dorothy L.Richmond, VA2343Aug 4, 2023
The salted caramel and lemon custard ice creams are awesome! The service
Was good and the servings were very generous. I hope to get back there again before leaving town.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 28, 2022
When in Winthrop, stopping by Sheri's is a MUST. And Sheri's has something to offer anyone:
- Candy Shop: fresh fudge and a chocolate covered twinkie are my go-tos
- Cafe: Their chai is a hearty and refreshing option
- Ice Cream: The line moves fast, so get any flavor that's made in house
- Mini Golf: The course isn't in the best shape, but the obstacles are also really tough so all together it's a fun time that really
There's plenty of seating nearby, the staff are all attentive, and all of this happens in the heart of downtown.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 9, 2022
We love Sheri's and stop by whenever we are in Winthrop. Waffle cones are fresh and serving sizes are generous-and delicious flavors! Lots of seating which is nice. It can get busy so there might be a long line. Get a kids scoop in a waffle cone for $2.75!

Among other various sweets, they have shave ice. Horrible. The ice was in large bits so it didn't absorb the syrup. The syrup, no joke, was 100% tasteless. I suppose it's watered down. I mean, 5 year olds won't know the difference, but...... They also have an ice cream area and, to their credit, my wife got quite a large scoop of ice cream.

You can't go wrong with homemade ice cream in small towns, ever. Sheri's is no different - the scoops are plentiful and tasty. If you want something fruity, grab a scoop (or two) of the Huckleberry. You won't be disappointed.
