The Boundary Hydroelectric Project, located on the Pend Oreille River in Northeastern Washington, supplies more than one-third of Seattle City Light's power. Discover the Boundary Hydroelectric Project nestled in the foothills of the Selkirk Mountains and positioned along the banks of the scenic Pend Oreille (pronounced "pond-ah-ray") River.

For a behind-the-scenes look at how Seattle's power is generated; visit the Boundary Hydroelectric Project, located just one mile south of the Canadian border. Boundary Dam's 32 foot thick base arches between two massive rock cliffs.

Free guided tours are offered Thursday through Monday at 10:30 a.m., Noon, 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.,  Memorial Day through Labor Day.  Each tour time is limited to 25 persons, on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not required, however, groups of ten or more are requested to schedule by calling (509) 446-3033 x3206.
