Occupying three distinctive and historically significant facilities in the heart of Bellingham’s arts district, the Whatcom Museum is a non-profit organization operated by the Whatcom Museum Foundation, with support from the City of Bellingham. The Museum offers a rich variety of programs and exhibitions about art, nature, and Northwest history.

The Museum’s collection contains artifacts from Northwest Coast Native Americans and early settlers, art pieces of regional importance, and a vast photographic archive. The Whatcom Museum is accredited nationally by the American Alliance of Museums and is a Smithsonian Institution Affiliate.
